The Huge Advantage of Weekend Blogging Revealed

Ladies and gentlemen, we recently discussed Are There Advantages to Weekend Blogging and hypothesized that there indeed would be. To prove it, we decided to try posting last Saturday morning!

Guess what happened? We had our busiest day of the month! 915 page views generated by 328 visits! This was a very interesting revelation because on Friday we had 503 page views generated by 316 visits. We went from an average of 1.59 page views per person to 2.79 page views per person!

Why is this a HUGE advantage? Forget the fact that more page views can mean more income and look for the deeper meaning and opportunity here. It looks like people have the time or patience to read more on the weekend. This means a visitor checking out your site on the weekend will read more or your articles giving you more than one chance to impress them. Maybe the first article or two they read was okay, but then the third one really pulled them in and made them subscribe to your RSS feed! During the week, they may not have kept going, would never have read that third article, and would never have returned to your website again!

Well holy smokes! What an opportunity to use the weekend to help build up our readership! But wait you ask… what if this were just a coincidence? How do we know our readership actually increased?

I have an answer for that as well! Despite Saturday being the biggest day in a long time, every day since then has been bigger than this Saturday…! Why else would we have a continued spike in traffic unless some of those readers were coming back! From Sunday to Friday we had 359, 342, 368, 350, 524 & 480 visitors respectively. A nice jump from the 200-300 we were getting the week before! Thank you weekend blogging for increasing our readership!
