Why I Want you to Join Join 451 Press

Friday, July 6th, 2007

If you’re interested in increasing your exposure and making some money as a blogger, consider writing for 451 Press! The same reasons that I want you to sign up are good reasons for joining…!

How do I benefit from you becoming a 451 Press writer? Well, inevitably I hope to steal your traffic. I mean that in a nice way though! As the 451 Press network continues to grow, incoming traffic increases and helps all 451 Press writers enjoy the benefits! For example, not only is there a link to every other blog in every blogs footer, but there is also the Hot Off the Press area in the right-hand menu which displays a snippet of my blog posts throughout the network each day for a period of time! There is also the Channel Posts area in the right-hand menu which also displays a snippet of my blog posts, but for longer periods of time on related blogs only!

The other reason I want you to join and maintain an active blog is because of that link in your footer which will link up to my site in every single post you make! The more links there are to my blog, the higher my page rank becomes! This again will help me receive more traffic because websites with higher page ranks tend to show up more often in Google search results for relevant keyword searches.

New Writer for Web Dev Notes

Monday, April 9th, 2007

Good day fellow readers and Web Dev enthusiasts! My name is Stephan and thanks to 451 press you are now stuck with me as your new host! :)

Who am I you ask? Why should you read this blog daily? I suppose a short introduction would be an appropriate place to begin!

I am a 4th year Software Engineering student. I am not an expert, but am very passionate about web development. I have been creating websites for over eight years and have worked on several large web-applications at jobs with the government of Canada. I am also very interested in game development and currently work as an administrator/designer for BattleCity Classic.

My personal goal of writing this blog is somewhat selfish in nature. While I will of course be sharing what I hope to be valuable information with everyone, I will primarily be focusing on topics that are of greatest interest to me. While working on websites, I often find myself searching Google for solutions to problems which I know I have already solved in the past. My hope is that I will eventually be able to quickly search this blog for all the information I need when developing for the web. Ultimately this information will be useful to everyone interested in web development, so hopefully this blog will become a useful resource for many people.

I encourage all visitors to leave comments and to contact me if any information I state is incorrect so that I can make any necessary corrections. Please feel free to elaborate on any topics I cover or to share your views and opinions on the matter. Please also ask any questions you may have about anything that is unclear and I will do my best to answer as soon as possible. While I may not always have a solution, I will always try to point you in the right direction!

I’d also like to take a second to thank 451 press for giving me this opportunity. While I am just beginning as a writer, my experiences with the staff and company thus far have been very positive. I had a few questions prior to completing my application and I still can’t believe how quickly I received helpful responses!

Be sure to visit every day!
